According to an article on Valley News Live, Ford is recalling 2020 F-150's due to a faulty rear view camera.  Apparently the back up camera can go dark or show distorted images..  More than 700,000 vehicles in North America are being recalled.  The recall covers most of 2020 versions of Ford's F-Series trucks, as well as other 2020 models, including Explorer, Mustang, Transit, Expedition, Escape, Ranger and Edge.  Also included are the Lincoln Nautilus and Corsair.

Ford says that a poor electrical connection is the culprit to the problem.  If it seems like just about every truck on the road in Bismarck Mandan is a Ford F-150 or F-series, you're right.  It's been the #1 selling truck in America for 43 straight years and counting.  It's by far the most popular truck in Bismarck Mandan.  It's estimated that Ford F-150's out number other trucks in our area 2 to 1.

Dealers will replace the rearview camera at no cost to owners.  You will receive notification in the mail, and this expected to start on November 7th of this year.

This story is especially interesting to me, since I drive a 2020 Ford F-150.  I myself have had no issues with the back up camera in my truck.  In fact, I have not had a single issue with this pick-up so far.  Knock on wood!  lol  I've owned pick-up trucks for a good share of my life, and I personally can see why the Ford F-150 is the number one selling truck in America.  I think what really sets this truck a part from it's competition is the technology.  There's really not much I can't do in this vehicle, and the Ford Pass App is very convenient.  Tells me everything I need to know about my truck.  This is the first Ford pick-up truck I've owned, and it won't be my last.
