31:8 Project is hosting their 5th Annual Spare Trafficking Bowling Fundraiser THIS WEEKEND!

I recently learned about a North Dakota organization that is doing big things to combat human trafficking. 31:8 Project is an organization that, not only works to rescue and rehabilitate human trafficking victims, but also educates the public about all aspects of this horrific industry. 31:8 Project also puts on events to raise money and awareness about human trafficking - like this upcoming weekend's 5th Annual Spare Trafficking Bowling Fundraiser.

WHAT: The 5th Annual Spare Trafficking Bowling Fundraiser

WHEN: Saturday, March 6, 2021
12:30 PM - 3:30 PM

WHERE: Midway Lanes
3327 Memorial Hwy #4696
Mandan, ND

WHY: Have fun, bowl, and raise awareness about human trafficking

You can be a part of a weekend of fun and raising awareness with 31:8 Project's Spare Trafficking Bowling Fundraiser. This year's theme is a COVID-friendly one - "Mask"erade Bowl. Bowlers are encouraged to wear creative masks for the event.

It would not be a fundraiser without items to bid on! There will be a silent auction, and all of the money raised will benefit 31:8 Project and the education of human trafficking in North Dakota. You can get more information about the Spare Trafficking Bowling Fundraiser and other education opportunities at 318project.org.

31:8 Project is the creation of a North Dakota woman named Stacy Schaffer. After learning about human trafficking, she actually got involved. She helped rescue and rehabilitate a girl who had been trafficked, at a brothel, at the age of eight. This young girl inspired Stacy to help more victims and educate others so they can help, too. LOOK: 50 essential civil rights speeches

Many of the speakers had a lifetime commitment to human rights, but one tried to silence an activist lobbying for voting rights, before later signing off on major civil rights legislation. Several fought for freedom for more than one oppressed group.
