A Winter Storm Warning Kicks Off Your 2017 in Some Areas
If you've had enough of the snow, that's too bad. More is coming.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Kidder County, Shreidan County, McLean County and Burleigh County along with other nearby counties to the North and East.
The winter storm warning is in effect from 6pm Sunday evening and will continue until 6am on Tuesday morning.
Depending on where you are located, you could receive anywhere from just an inch or two of snow (likely areas to the west of Bismarck), or anywhere up to 10 inches such as in Minot, Rugby, Harvey and Jamestown.
Bismarck could expect one to three inches of snow on Sunday evening with an additional three to five inches of snow falling throughout the day on Monday.
Wind gusts as high as 35mph will create blowing and drifting snow. On Tuesday morning, wind chills could be around -30 degrees. Traveling is not advised.
