Based on the latest unemployment numbers that just came out, it's no wonder people are flocking to North Dakota!

On Tuesday, reports released by the Labor Department indicated that unemployment rates rose in 90% of all large US cities. While Bismarck is included in that majority, with rates rising slightly from 2.4% in May to 2.8% in June, the Capital City still boasts the nation's lowest unemployment rate. On the opposite end of the spectrum, is Yuma, AZ, with unemployment at 31.8%.

Additionally, the unemployment rate in the state of North Dakota sits atop the nation at 3.4%. The national average is 7.6%.

So the next time somebody asks "why do you live in North Dakota?" because "there's nothing to do there", I think you've got your answer.
