What’s Going On With Bismarck’s City Brew Coffee?

The big question from me and many others - "Is Bismarck's City Brew Coffee closed?"

I drove to work this morning ( Wednesday, January 14 ), looked to my left, and saw their lights on, and just assumed City Brew Coffee, the only one in Bismarck and Mandan, at 1151 W Divide Avenue, was open. The reports I had heard the night before were that a corporate vehicle and an Enterprise rental truck appeared to be clearing the store out, and that Bismarck's location was gone from the company's website as well. So later on this morning, I drove over there again, and I'm pretty sure I got the answer.

I also checked out the City Brew Coffee website. There are over 130 locations around the United States, and they have been around for over 25 years and unfortunately, just one now in North Dakota. As of today the only City Brew Coffee place listed in North Dakota is Dickinson. The one here in Bismarck is listed as "temporarily closed", and that's mentioned on Google, NOT City Brew's website. This is what I came across this morning just after 10:00

So what does all the above information bring?

Sadly we have all experienced this before in the past. A business that's been around awhile starts declining and then before you know it their doors are closed for good. I always enjoyed walking in there and enjoying a neighborhood feel good coffee place, and a courteous staff - if they are indeed closed for good, they will be missed.
