Open Letter To The Runners & Volunteers Of The Bismarck Marathon
I've been living in Bismarck for over 5 years, and I love the Bismarck Marathon
It's my favorite time of the year when the Bismarck Marathon rolls around, for one thing, it brings back a ton of memories for me. I have run 14 marathons in my lifetime, and I know all the anxious feelings the night before a race, all the questions you ask yourself when you're lying in bed -"Am I ready? Have I done enough long runs?" For the last 5 years, I have had the joy of WATCHING all the hard work it takes to put on an event like the Bismarck Marathon.
Kylie and Jayden from Funatix were awesome
These two ladies were through the roof awesome, making sure the Bismarck Marathon ran smoothly, and trust me, that's no easy FEET ( get it? ) - this year's race was held at the Capitol, and all the other events were in one day - Saturday, September 20th. One of our radio stations ( Cool 98.7 ) and I were across the street from the Pier. The spot we cheered other runners from was just after the 21-mile mark, and that's where runners "Hit the wall" - when your body becomes extremely tired after at least 3 hours of running.

Whether it was your first marathon or your 20th, you'll never forget all the support you received
This is the part I love so much, watching all the families, the anxious husband or wife, waiting for their loved one. Here is the incredible thing - unlike years ago, you can now keep track of your runner by using a GPS tracker!
To all the Bismarck Marathoners and volunteers - Bravo!
