Hard to believe we are already in June - Summer is ALMOST here in Bismarck and Mandan

This weekend, we are seeing our weather temps rise to the mid-80s - our good friends the farmers almanac says that "Summer begins with the Summer Solstice, Friday, June 21, 2026 ". So, just like every passing year and the transition from winter to summer, most of us are excited.

I have been living out here in Bismarck now for 6 years, and there are many things I look forward to as summer nears

I took note of just 5 things I look forward to, but there are really many more. Think about that one warm late afternoon in the past when you glided down the river on the Lewis & Clark Riverboat - the sunset was amazing. Nothing says SUMMER better than catching a Bismarck Larks baseball game in the sun at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark - check out their brand new field!

Who doesn't love a rodeo?

Our Mandan Rodeo Days are filled with tradition, one of North Dakota's longest- running rodeos by the way, family fun, and amazing competition, plus fireworks that will light up the night - July 1st-4th.

Who doesn't love the North Dakota State Fair?

Now I know this isn't in Bismarck or Mandan, but the North Dakota State Fair is such an easy 110-mile drive away - All the thrills that a big-time fair brings - fried food, top-notch concerts, and fun carnival attractions.

If you are looking for peace and serenity, breathe in the fresh,  warm summer air at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park - it almost feels like you are completely out of Mandan - 4480 Fort Lincoln Rd.
