Still hard to believe we are moving

It's hard to understand and accept change sometimes, and this one, for me, for all of us, is HUGE. I just passed my 6th anniversary since I was hired to come work in Mandan, for Townsquare Media. In that time span, I have come to learn more and more about the history of this building - Sometime long ago, and I was told, that this place we called our work home was around way back in the 50s or maybe even 40s. Times have changed quite a bit since then, but we all have shared the same passion, radio.

Just recently, Bobcat of Mandan Inc ( right next door to us ) bought the building

It dawned on all of us that it was time to move, so as the old TV show THE JEFFERSONS' opening song rang out -"Well we're movin' on up, to the east side..." - for us that's true, our new address is 2401 46th Ave SE, Mandan - literally right around the corner, we can still smell Krolls from our new estate. Our last day was today - Good Friday.

For the last month or so, we've had some company

From out of town they came, a couple of engineers, an internet computer wizard has been working their talents transferring us over to our new place - a HUGE task indeed. Our very own Scott McGowan just celebrated his 25th anniversary, working at our modest building of 5 radio stations. Here he is posing with an old friend.

That is a block of wood. IF it could talk, the stories you would hear would be amazing. Holding the door for us while we are unloading equipment, weathering every element Mother Nature would throw at it - buried under feet of snow, this sturdy friend was there when Scott first walked in back in the day - you better believe it's going with us.

No longer will I fear walking through this door

This ominous sign did its job, keeping the goofy disc jockeys like me away. I look forward to our future without a doubt, and am excited for everyone to check out our new digs...

...and finally WE will never forget our old home, and all the talented people who worked there in the past, and those who I work with now.
