Black Friday is still over a week away, yet that hasn't deterred some people from securing their place in line already. Shoppers in Akron, Ohio have been camped out in front of the city's Best Buy since Tuesday, and plan to stay there until the retailer opens its doors at 6pm Thanksgiving night. If you do the math, that's 10 days - an entire WEEK-AND-A-HALF - they will spend living on the sidewalk in front of Best Buy.

As of right now, there are only two tents in line, but that number will undoubtedly grow as retail's biggest day looms closer. Residents of the tent city came equipped with generators, space heaters, microwaves, queen size beds, game consoles and a number of other amenities to get them through the long wait.

One man notes his desire to be first in line after years of being second as the driving force behind his early residency. The man who was typically first in years is now second in line and only came out early because he saw the other man setting up.

The shoppers estimate they've saved "tens of thousands of dollars" over the years from their Black Friday purchases.
