3 seconds into my phone conversation with Brittany Leischer I found myself smiling from ear-to-ear

The energy and honest emotion from this Bismarck native is true "North Dakota Nice". A co-worker told me this morning that a local business had closed its doors for the final time - Cobalt Moon   A woman's clothing store over at 3250 Rock Island Pl.

"A shop on the sunny side of town..."

Brittany had her very own place, taking care of so many people for around 9 years. Families of all generations would stop in, young ladies were treated to some beautiful clothes that fit their personality. I asked Brittany what she loved so much about Cobalt Moon  - "The people of course. I will absolutely miss all these special bonds I have made with others. I felt like a bartender in a clothing store..."

If you know Brittany, you will nod your head immediately when I say...

...she is one of the most engaging, modest "North Dakotans" you will ever meet. Here is a bit of what she posted on her Facebook page just the other day:

" Locking the door to Cobalt Moon for the last time yesterday made me think- I would never be locking that very door at all, if it weren’t for the man in this 2015 picture from an Inspired Woman magazine article feature about an entrepreneurial father inspiring his daughter to follow in his shoes, with the passion for business running through her veins...

...People always come up to me and tell me how my dad changed their lives and mentored them when no one else would take the time- and all I can think in the back of my mind is, “I understand exactly what you are saying. He changed my life too.”

Here is what impressed me the most

Brittany plans on donating clothing from Cobalt Moon to different churches and local organizations. She talks about doing that with such nonchalant modesty "It's what people do out here" - as tough as it is for her to move on, she will still be out and about in our community - dazzling Bismarck with her friendly smile and approachable style. For 8 years she has been putting families into their dream homes.

"Great references from customers, helping others come to me for their search for a new home"

You can find her at Trademark Realty.  They say this world is TOUGH and unforgiving, I can tell you this, a 15-minute phone conversation with Brittany will inspire you in a trillion different ways, AND will make you proud to be a North Dakotan.

Thank you, Brittany!
