Huge thanks to this heroic "Dynamic Duo."

We can all sleep snug knowing this pair is out patrolling and making sure everyone in Mandan is safe. My own personal feeling on this story is this - THIS should be a reality TV show! I would watch Deputy Austin and his partner hitting the streets of Mandan, especially during this holiday season, because I think this "Dynamic Duo" could stamp out any wrongdoings AND provide us some "Inside" information on Santa Claus.

He’s baaaack… After 11 months of “special assignment.”

I know SOMEONE will ask if there is a "Height" requirement for anyone working for the Morton County Sheriff's Department. I haven't heard of any. Now it's time for you to meet this fearless pair.

Morton County Sheriff's Office Facebook posted this yesterday morning:

🚨🎅 "He’s baaaack… After 11 months of “special assignment” at the North Pole (rumor says he failed his annual cookie-fitness test again), Marty the Elf has officially returned to Morton County to begin his holiday patrol with Deputy Austin.
Last seen hanging onto the skid of Santa’s sleigh somewhere over Glen Ullin, Marty touched down this morning at the Morton County Sheriff’s Office — slightly frostbitten, heavily caffeinated, and ready for duty.
When Deputy Austin found him, Marty was:
• Wearing a sticker MCSO badge,
• Attempting to write himself a promotion, and
• Asking if our squad cars come with heated seats sized for “an elf with lower back problems.”
He’ll be riding along, checking on good behavior, solving “miniature” crimes, and probably causing a few of his own. Stay tuned — the holiday patrol begins now. 🎄🚔
So listen, make way for this happy team, and thank BOTH of you for your service
