Have you ever seen a penguin shovel snow before?  I haven't either, until now.  A good Smartian person dressed in a penguin costume decided to help out downtown Fosston, Minnesota business owners by shoveling the snow off their sidewalks early Wednesday morning.  Fosston, Minnesota is about an hour east of Grand Forks on highway 2.  Here's the video for you to enjoy!

I have to admit, I kind of wish we would've gotten more snow before Christmas. It just doesn't seem the same, with only a dusting of snow in Bismarck Mandan. Most of the snow that did fall will probably melt on Christmas day, as we are expecting highs near 40. Rather balmy for Christmas in North Dakota indeed.

Minnesota however is in the middle of a blizzard warning at the time of this article with  up to 8 inches of snow falling in parts of central Minnesota, and 50 mile per hours to add insult to injury.  If you have travel plans towards the Twin Cities, you are going to want to pay attention to weather and road reports.  Eastern North Dakota is also dealing with blizzard conditions.  Grand Forks, Jamestown, Fargo, Wahpeton and most parts of eastern North Dakota remain in a blizzard warning until midnight tonight.  The snow has stopped, but what fell is blowing, with up to 60 mile per hour winds.

Again, if you have travel plans to the east, please pay attention to weather reports and allow the plows to do their jobs.  Have a safe and very Merry Christmas!
