The United States

In 2022, there were 13,683 McDonald's restaurants in the U.S., according to Finances Online. That might sound like a lot (and it is), but that's actually down quite a bit from 2014; that year there we 14,339 McDonald's.

Fun Fact:

In 2021, Canada only had 1,452 stores and Mexico had 365, according to USA Today.

North Dakota

So, just how many McDonald's restaurants are in North Dakota? According to Yahoo News, North Dakota had a total of 29 restaurants in 2021.

The source says our has the LEAST amount of McDonald's locations in the country. -- I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad about this... TBD.

If you're wondering which state has the MOST McDonald's, it's *drumroll* California. California has a whopping 1.252 stores.
