Good news, frequent flyers and occasional adventurers—travel in and out of Williston, North Dakota just got a whole lot easier (and dare I say, a little more exciting). According to the Williston Basin International Airport’s Facebook page, a third daily Delta flight to Minneapolis is coming in hot next month.

New Afternoon Flight to Minneapolis Lands Soon at Williston Airport

That’s right—starting soon, you’ll have a new afternoon option to get to the Twin Cities. Airport Director Anthony Dudas says the fresh new flight will touch down around 2:45 p.m. and head back out about 50 minutes later—just enough time to grab a snack, stretch your legs, and remember where you parked.

From Early Birds to Snowstorm Escapes: Delta and United Offer Plenty of Williston Flight Options

This new addition joins Delta’s already existing flights at 6:00 a.m. (for the early birds) and 12:20 p.m. (for the people who don’t function until coffee #2). But Delta’s not the only show in town—United continues to offer several daily flights to Denver, lifting off at 6:00 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 3:20 p.m., and 5:10 p.m. So whether you’re planning business, pleasure, or an emergency escape from another North Dakota snowstorm, you’ve got options.

And if all that wasn't enough, keep your eyes peeled for Sun Country flights to Las Vegas. Because nothing says “spontaneous weekend getaway” quite like hopping a direct flight from Williston to the Strip.

So what are you waiting for? Pack your bags, grab your ID, and remember the three-ounce liquid rule. Williston is officially ready for takeoff.
