North Dakota Singles Rated Among the Least Honest in Online Dating
In the fast-paced world of online dating, honesty seems about as common as a unicorn sighting. From shaving off a few years to using AI for a digital glow-up or spinning elaborate relationship statuses, singles are navigating a minefield of tall tales.
We all know the drill – swiping left and right, hoping to find that special someone. But let's face it, the online dating world can be wilder than a rodeo clown on payday!
DatingAdvice.com recently surveyed 3,000 singles to uncover the truth behind dating profiles. South Dakota’s honesty score was a solid 7.5/10, while North Dakota lingers in the middle. As for New York City? It’s the undisputed champ of dishonesty with a dismal 3.4/10.
New York and LA may be notorious for their tall tales, but North Dakota, well, we ain't exactly angels either. We scored a meh 4.9/10 on the truth-o-meter, just shy of the national average. So, where are these little white lies hiding?
Here’s a quick rundown of where singles are stretching the truth:
- Relationship Status: 32%—Because who doesn’t enjoy a bit of mystery?
- Age: 30%—Aging like fine wine, or just claiming to be younger?
- Real-Life Appearance: 22%—AI-enhanced looks for everyone!
- Interests/Hobbies: 6%—Because your love for underwater basket weaving is totally believable.
- Education Level: 4%—Degrees? Who needs 'em!
- Location: 4%—Somewhere vaguely close.
- Job: 2%—Brain surgeon, anyone?
AI and Dating: A Digital Deception?
Almost a third of singles think AI is used to polish up profiles, with 89% believing it makes dating more deceitful. And yes, even bios can be artificially charming.
When it comes to profile pics, 57% want images no older than a year, while 30% accept photos from the last two years. Only 2% are cool with pics from five years ago.
So, the next time you're swiping, remember – that perfect pic might be a catfishin' scheme, and that charming bio could be written by a robot!
Big City vs. Small Town Honesty
A surprising 52% of singles think big cities are the worst for dating dishonesty. The bright lights might just be making those profiles sparkle a bit too much.
So, while North Dakota might not be winning any awards for dating honesty, at least we’re not drowning in deceit like some of the bigger cities. Here’s to a little more truth and a lot less AI magic in our quest for love!
