We see new businesses popping up all of the time, and we love that for the Bismarck-Mandan community.

Unfortunately, we lose great businesses, too. That happens to be the case for Bismarck Brewing.

If you've ever been to Ale Works in North Bismarck, you may have also gone upstairs to Bismarck Brewing.

Sadly, after people started searching for the business on Google and Facebook, they noticed that under its hours of operation, the business was listed as "permanently closed."

After people started asking about this on Bismarck's People Reporting News, the owner of Bismarck Brewing explained in a comment that the business is now closed and that he let his license expire for personal reasons.

He went on to say that the brewing industry is getting tougher.

"I poured my heart and soul into my business for 7 years, and it wasn't going to work in that configuration," said Jordan Everaert.

He also said that this is see you later, not goodbye.

"I decided to refocus my efforts into my distillery. Bismarck Brewing will come back at some point, I assure you. I'm not selling my brand at all. I want to resurrect it and definitely will," said Everaert.

This might be sad news for now, but Everaert promises a return in the future.

The news of Bismarck Brewing closing out of Ale Works has many people asking whether we should be concerned about Ale Works.

To clear this up, I called Ale Works today and got confirmation that It has no plans to close.
