It's hard to believe that summer will be ending soon, but sadly, it will be over before you know it.

You will notice over the next couple weeks, that the outdoor pools in Bismarck-Mandan will be closing for the season.

If you haven't had your fill of outdoor swimming and splashing, you might want to get to a pool asap.

Bismarck Parks Announces Pool Closings

Bismarck Parks and Rec sent out a press release, telling residents of Bismarck-Mandan, that the pools are set to soon close.

According to the press release, they are closing the pools (Despite what the weather may or may not be) due to the fact that their college and high school workforce is heading back to school and preparing for fall activities.

Closing Dates

The last day of operation for Hillside Aquatic Complex and Wachter Aquatic Complex is Friday, August 9th.

The Elks Aquatic Center will stay open through Sunday, August 18th.

The "Pool Pooch Party" at Wachter Aquatic Complex will still take place Saturday, August 10th. Small dogs, under 30 lbs are welcome from noon to 12. Large dogs over 30 lbs will have pool access from 1 until 2 pm.

The free splash pad at New Generations Park will remain open through Labor Day weekend, and as weather permits in early September. Daily hours are 10 am to 8 pm.

According to the Raging Rivers Waterpark's website, they plan to stay open through August 18th, weather permitting.
