Every year we change our tastes and decide one thing is better than the other. This year is no different.

Many North Dakotans are foodies, so we love to vote and figure out which restaurants are the best.

Favorite Restaurant Chain

While I know most of us like to support North Dakota-owned and operated businesses, we can't help but indulge every now and then in a national chain restaurant.

A company called Technomic puts together a list every year that names the Top 500 chain restaurants in the country. Over the past few years, Olive Garden has been named the top spot.

I'm OBSESSED with pasta. I will be buried with a plate of chicken alfredo.

While many North Dakotans agree that Olive Garden is delicious, the franchise did not make the top spot for the year 2025.

Number One In North Dakota

The number one in North Dakota is none other than Texas Roadhouse. With more than 5 billion in sales last year, the source claims it's the top chain restaurant in the country.

Are you surprised? - I'm not.

The rolls? - Delicious

The steak? - mouth watering.

The atmosphere? - fun and laid back.

It's no wonder this place took the lead.

ND Locations

Did you know North Dakota actually has a few different Texas Roadhouse locations?

Fargo

Grand Forks

Bismarck

If Texas Roadhouse is the best of the best, should we get a few more locations in our state?

Other Top Chains

Yes, Texas Roadhouse made the top spot this year, but if you're curious, it was followed by Olive Garde, Chili's, Applebee's, then Buffalo Wild Wings.
