The roads in North Dakota are absolutely terrible. Right now, I think we can attribute that to all of the construction. That's not to say anything negative about the construction crews breaking their backs to make our roads safe and easier to drive on; we appreciate all they do for our community. However, there is quite a bit of chaos that ensues while those projects are being worked on. It is far from pleasant.

Construction isn't the only issue North Dakota often sees on the roads. All of the snow and ice each winter causes cracking and leaves us with car-sinking potholes.

It's the worst feeling, isn't it? You're driving around, minding your own business, and boom --you almost feel the pain for your poor tire. You wince and get out to take a look, making sure the car is still in one piece.

There are certain parking lots and areas that are notorious for being pretty awful -- riddled with potholes, or as I call them, craters, but just how bad is the pothole problem in our state? I looked it up and found a study was done by ConstructionCoverage.com; it ranked the best and worst states for potholes.
