I'm sure you've seen the news. Recently, Spirit Halloween, a store known for only carrying Halloween-themed items, has decided to branch out. Spirit Christmas stores will be popping up all over the country.

Christmas Lovers Rejoice

As a person who absolutely loves all things Christmas (the warm fuzzy feeling, the decorations, the Hallmark movies, etc.), you can imagine I was very excited by this news.

With that, I was on a mission to find out if any Spirit Halloween stores in North Dakota would be switching to Spirit Christmas at the end of spooky season.

According to KSBY News, the new store plan rolled out last year (2024). Ten Spirit Halloween stores transitioned to Spirit Christmas.

This year, the source says that the company plans on turning 30 stores around the country into a Spirit Christmas. So, which areas will be lucky enough to get this extreme dose of Christmas joy, and will any be in North Dakota?

After further investigation, I'm sad to report that the Capital City, Bismarck, will not be getting a Spirit Christmas, at least not this year. Though I think we should file a petition.

What about Minot? North Dakotans aren't afraid of a shopping road trip. Sadly, Minot also will not be getting a Spirit Christmas. As a matter of fact, there won't be any Spirit Christmas switches in North Dakota this year.

This is certainly unfortunate news, but maybe if we're not naughty and show Santa some extra North Dakota nice, we'll get one next year.
