Road Rage: More and more people are telling me it's becoming an even bigger problem across North Dakota.

I received a phone call from a woman yesterday on my studio line who was clearly upset. She told me she was shaking from a road rage incident that had just happened on the way home from work.

It all happened at the intersection of Main and Expressway on the west end of Bismarck.

This woman was in the right turn lane and behind a vehicle waiting to turn right onto to Expressway. When the light turned green, the vehicle in front of her didn't move. She did a count to five in her head and finally lightly tapped the horn to alert the driver to move.

There's a pretty good chance he was on his phone and not paying attention. He then proceeded to move but slammed on his brakes. This driver was obviously hoping my listener would crash into him, and she would likely be at fault for rear-ending him.

She stopped in time, and once again, this driver didn't move. So, she tried to go around him after sitting there for several seconds. This time, the driver swerved at her, causing her to not only just miss hitting him but also almost lose control of her vehicle.

This woman couldn't believe what was happening to her. What kind of jerk does such a thing?

He was not only distracted while driving but also wanted to cause damage to her vehicle and potentially harm her. Over what? Because she lightly honked her horn at him when he wasn't paying attention.

She sent me a picture of the guy's vehicle, and she was trying to decide if she should report him to the Bismarck Police.

I told her 100% she should. After speaking to a friend of mine with the Bismarck Police Department, what he did could be charged as a reckless endangerment or even an attempted assault with intent to harm, both felonies.

I have no idea if my listener did indeed contact the police; I sure hope she did. By the way, be on the lookout for a dark grey or black Subura with Minnesota license plates driving around town. Just in case he does something like this to you.

Police remind you never to take matters into your own hands and call 911 if you run into someone like this on our streets of North Dakota.

Get a life, man, and grow up.
