I met this delightful father and daughter yesterday at our radio station here in Mandan

Brinn, alongside her father Steven, flashed me a polite, confident smile - she is on a mission to an inspirational mission coming up. Brinn is a senior in Mandan Virtual Academy. She also works as a CNA at St. Vincent’s in Bismarck. Her immediate goal is incredible and shows her true heart.

"To graduate from high school in May and plan on becoming a full-time missionary"

YWAM is a 6-month missionary school where we get to know God and make him known. Spreading the message and living by example, Brinn has a destination already set. Kona, Hawaii!. Her father sat by with a proud smile as she talked about what YWAM does and how they reach people in other countries. My thoughts while watching the glow on her face were of pure joy and peace.

"I will be specifically specializing in music..."

Steven told me how musically talented Brinn is. This is what she will bring to Kona - "I will be specifically specializing in music and learning more about how to worship the Lord. From a young age, God had given me a talent and passion for singing and playing guitar" - I had one simple question - "Why Kona, Hawaii?"

How was Kona, Hawaii chosen?

Brinn's story is so cool -  "Since this opportunity was shown to me, I was questioning and praying, seeking God to affirm if Hawaii was specifically where He wanted me to go. I then asked Him for a big, clear sign to be shown to me. Two days later, I passed a homeless man on the side of the road and I had felt God telling me to pray for him.

I went up to him and prayed over him and all of a sudden he looked up at me and said, “Do you know where i’m from?” I replied, “Where?” And he said to me, “I’m from Hawaii!” At that moment, I felt my spirit jump for joy. I knew that this was the sign I had asked for.

Best Pop Concerts In North Dakota History

While I have been to many great concerts of all genres in North Dakota, we really do need more variety. I had to really dig to find 10 shows from artists that were at the peak of their careers when they came to our state - I was in elementary school when some of these artists were here. Did I miss one of your favorite shows?
