Love This – A Brilliant Way To Celebrate Nurses Here In Bismarck
The backbone of health care for sure
So for me, when it's time to get a check-up, I actually see a nurse practitioner here in Bismarck, and she is awesome. Some people might say, "Don't you have a regular doctor?" - YES, I do, my nurse practitioner. Once again, there are a few people out there who might question the difference between a doctor and an NP - It's really not much at all.

Nurse practitioners (NPs) and doctors (MDs/DOs) are both qualified healthcare providers
So what is the difference, you might ask? According to ama-assn.org "Nurse-practitioner programs generally last two to four years, however, some nurse practitioners can get their degree in as little as 18 months after becoming an RN. Online-only programs are allowed. Physicians, by contrast, must complete four years of medical school to earn a degree as an MD (a doctor of medicine) or a DO (doctor of osteopathic medicine). That comes after taking four years to earn a bachelor’s degree. There are no online medical schools."
Let's all celebrate nurses; a perfect opportunity to do so is coming up
"Local businesses invited to “Light Up the Sky” in red to honor nurses during National Nurses Week" Sanford Health Media Relations just released some exciting new " In honor of National Nurses Week, May 6-12, local businesses across the community are invited to take part in a highly visible show of appreciation by lighting their buildings, storefronts or signage with red lights to thank nurses for their compassion, dedication and service.. The initiative, known as #NursesLightUpTheSky, aims to unite businesses, health care organizations and residents in a shared message of gratitude for nurses who care for patients and families every day"
Briliiant... looking forward to this.
