ND Tougher DUI Laws Now In Effect

As of today tougher DUI laws are not in effect. The new law will require jail time or community service work for first-time DUI offenders who have a blood alcohol content of 0.16 percent. That's twice the state's legal limit of 0.08 percent.

The bill will also require mandatory participation in the so-called 24/7 sobriety program for repeat offenders...The 4th of July Holiday is just around the corner so if you are going to celebrate with adult beverages - please designate a driver!
