I'm sure you've met or have at least heard of Matthew Wurnig -- the guy who has been going around the country dating women from each state. Well not only has his story recently been picked up on Newsweek, now he's going to make an appearance on Good Morning America!

About Matt

Matt attended NDSU, graduating in 2018 and he even, lived in Bismarck for a time. He made quite the impact on our community too. -- Everybody knows him.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown he started his first round of something he called "50 Dates in 50 States." He came up with an idea to turn a time of isolation around into an opportunity to reach out and meet new people virtually. It didn't take long for word to spread, and for Wurnig to rise to fame on social media.

Once the pandemic restrictions were lifted, Wurnig hit the road to do another round of "50 Dates" this time,  to meet face-to-face with each woman he dated virtually. He's been traveling the country, seeing the sights, meeting interesting women, and sharing each step of his journey with the world. It's no surprise that so many media outlets have been covering this story; now Matt's next stop is to appear on a national platform, and we couldn't be more excited for him.

The Show

Wurnig recently announced that he would be appearing on Good Morning America, and ending his second season of "50 Dates in 50 States" while on the show. How cool is that?!

I reached out to Matt to find out how he felt about the appearance and all of the recognition; he responded humbly.

"The fact that I started in my small apartment in North Dakota and now am about to end Season 2 on Good Morning America is crazy to think about...," said Wurnig.

When?

Wurnig will appear on Good Morning America Wednesday of next week (September 14th) I don't know about you, but I'll definitely be tuning in to see the finale of Matt's tour.

*Air date is subject to change.
