Nightmare Last Night Just 79 Miles Away From Bismarck
Last night was devastating just 79 miles from Bismarck
A disaster that hit Napoleon, North Dakota. A fire leveling a structure that had been around since the 60s. According to a FB post just 8 hours ago from Napoleon Country Club:
"Tonight we lost a landmark of our community. The clubhouse burned and is a total loss. By the time it was called in it was fully engulfed in flames. Talking with a few of the firefighters tonight one of them thought it was moved into town from a local farmer in the early 1960’s and turned into our clubhouse.
For the time being the course will remain closed until further notice. We had to have MDU turn off the power to the course also as the lines running to the clubhouse are laying on the ground. So all members with your garage door openers will not work in your sheds to get in unless you have the key for the emergency release handles.
I will keep you posted as soon as we get things figured out! We would also like to give a shout-out to all first responders tonight. Thank you!"
What a beautiful place that WILL no doubt rebound from this
Every golfer knows that the "19 hole" is where you kick your feet up, have a cold adult beverage, and rehash your glory on the golf course. No doubt this community will gather together and rebuild. These things happen so quickly, and those of you who have experienced this wonderful place will never forget the memories.
