Boy, I can't wait for this Thursday here in Bismarck...

...cause we all know just how FUN road construction can be - look, this is not an article to berate or spew out anger over what is needed in Bismarck and Mandan - updating the roads, widening, lessening, or whatever is being worked on all summer long. However, the frustrating part is when our options of travel - to home or work, are interrupted, and detours to other detours are added. So as we pull our hair out in anger, some of us are looking forward to November or December when construction won't be around...

...ready for the good news? ( stop with the sarcasm )

Check this out - according to this News release "Highway 83/State Street & LaSalle Drive Signal Out of Service Bismarck, N.D. – Starting Thursday, September 26, 2024, the traffic signal at the intersection of Highway 83/State Street & LaSalle Drive will be taken out of service for a contractor to replace the traffic signal controller cabinet. During the time the signal is out of service, traffic will be controlled with an All-Way stop and will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Work is anticipated to start at approximately 8:30 am and last approximately 4-6 hours. No detour will be in place. Traffic is asked to use caution and as always, thank you for your patience during this time"

Remember now - "...No detour will be in place"

So take this as a friendly "heads-up!" - AND November and December will be here before you know it :)
