North Dakota State University's Relationship Heads South!  Well, not that far South.  It's a 752 miles from Bismarck to Manhattan, Kansas.  That's about a 7 1/2 hour drive, minus bathroom breaks.  Manhattan, KS is the home of Kansas State University and head coach (former NDSU Head Coach) Chris Klieman.  Next year it will also be the home of Century Patriot standout lineman Andrew Leingang.  I'm guessing that it's no small coincidence that Andrew, who was heavily recruited by NDSU slid South to a bigger program, that just happens to have strong ties back to North Dakota.  For Leingang, who had offers from Power 5 conference schools Stanford, Minnesota, Arizona, Arizona State and Oregon State, I think he chose wisely and is putting himself in a position to challenge himself and have an opportunity to grow and test his skills against some college football powerhouses.  I know it's early, but I hope that we can watch Andrew take the field on Sundays, but for the next few years, Saturdays will be just fine.  Here's today's Sports Dish for more details:

Century Patriots’ offensive lineman Andrew Leingang announced his verbal commitment to Kansas State University Sunday. Leingang is a three star offensive lineman. The Century stand out had six power five college offers, and nearly 20 total offers including UND and NDSU. Leingang and the Patriots open the season on Saturday against Legacy in a nationally televised game. (You can catch the game on Saturday, 8/29 at 8pm on Super Talk 1270)

The Bismarck Larks had a four game lead on the Mandan Flickertails entering Saturday's doubleheader. The Larks extended that lead to six games with two one-run wins 5-4 and 3-2.

Sunday's 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 ended under cation after a horrific crash with 5 laps remaining. Scott Dixon,who led 111 of 200 laps, had to settle for 2^nd place with Takuma Sato taking the yellow/checkered win.

The NFL was working Sunday to assess a series of positive COVID-19 results affecting eleven teams, all traced back to the same laboratory in New Jersey. Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said eight players, a coach and three staff members had presumptive positive tests from the lab and did not practice Sunday. The NFL has been retesting the tests that came back positive from the New Jersey lab, and so far they are finding evidence that leads them to believe the issue involves testing irregularities, not a surge of positive tests.

The Baltimore Ravens are parting ways with seven-time Pro Bowl safety Earl Thomas two days after he punched fellow safety Chuck Clark. Thomas, 31, was sent home Friday and has not returned to the Ravens' facility.

Dustin Johnson capped off his dominant week at The Northern Trust Open with an 8-under 63 on Sunday and finished at 30-under 254, making him only the third player in PGA Tour history to finish at 30 under or better.

The Washington Capitals fired coach Todd Reirden after a second consecutive first-round exit in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The Twins beat the Royals 5-4...they take on the Indians tonight at 6:10.
