Revisiting A Talented Singer/Writer From Fargo
I last wrote about Lilly Danielle back in May here in Mandan...
...I had never listened to her before until that warm Saturday afternoon - when she was performing at the Mac and Cheese Festival. Her voice is pure and powerful. This is a Junior in High School who has the gift of entertainment. Within 3-4 seconds of hearing Lilly sing, her stepdad Chuck Stahl saw my reaction of....just "WOW" - I had a chance to speak with her for a couple of minutes while she was setting up, and I loved having the opportunity to write an article about her - https://965thewalleye.com/discovering-lilly-danielle-a-rising-star-in-nds-music-scene/

Chuck, by the way, is proud to be her number one fan - and vice versa on that with Lilly
"I've been watching her perform for years, and I STILL get goosebumps - starting to get a few tears just thinking about it...."
I had another chance to catch up with her recently - see how she is doing..
"My music life has been amazing! My latest performance was at the Red River Market in Fargo. It was a beautiful day for some music and activities. I recently released another single called "This Piano" ...

...It's been roughly two years since I last released anything and it feels crazy to have something so new out. I wrote the song about falling put with someone, whether that be a friendship or a relationship. The song is just me and my piano with a little **Lilly flare. I've also had a few National Anthem performances - one being for the Fargo Force and another for a boxing event put on by Barbot Boxing. I love performing the anthem because it puts the perfect amount of pressure on me and allows me to get better at certain skills every time...
...I am of course still working on my EP and I'm hoping to get out soon. I'm very excited to share what I've been working on with the rest of the world! Other than my music career, my life has been great. I'm starting to get the hang of school again and figuring out how to balance school and music. It's difficult at times to be on top of it all - but I wouldn't trade what I do for the world"
"Lilly Flare"
This is what she does so well - the wonderful thing about talented singers and musicians is HOW they put THEIR spin on a song - like this for instance ( one of my favorites by the way )...
Chuck Stahl
The amazing thing is her attitude. It has to be an enormous amount to take in - school, music, performing...and she is learning every day to accept that she truly is a super talent. What I love the most is how humble and sincere she is - and you can't teach that to anyone. I had a chance to ask her my favorite question - one that I ask any person I come across, whether they are a performer, a teacher, or someone who has a smile on their face at work - "What do you love the most about what you do? Playing music for others?"
Her answer was perfect:
"I love the connection it brings between people. Music is everyone's way of escape from their problems. Songs transport you to different parts of your life whether they are good or bad. Watching people feel music is my favorite part"
Thank you, Lilly, you are awesome!
