It's no secret with us out here in BisMan that North Dakota is an awesome place to live. Let's just try and keep it hush-hush so we don't get a flood of people from out of state moving here. I wrote an article not too long ago about what people love the most about living in North Dakota - The most common answer was the cost of living. If you compare say gas prices or break it down to what houses go for out in ND to other states you'll see a huge difference.

Wallethub has put together a study  2021’s Best States to Live in - In order to determine the best and worst states to live in, WalletHub compared the 50 states across five key dimensions: 1) Affordability, 2) Economy, 3) Education & Health, 4) Quality of Life, and 5) Safety. Here is their Top 20 List:

Top 20 States to Live in America
1. New Jersey11. Vermont
2. Massachusetts12. Virginia
3. New York13. Wyoming
4. Idaho14. Florida
5. Minnesota15. North Dakota
6. Wisconsin16. Colorado
7. Utah17. South Dakota
8. New Hampshire18. Illinois
9. Iowa10. Pennsylvania19. Maine
20. Nebraska

Also, other factors were involved when wallethub made this study - they range from housing costs and income growth to education rate and quality of hospitals. Many of the things the study brought up, we have a big advantage over other bigger cities - like how long it takes for the average North Dakotan to commute to work. I've lived in San Diego, California where so many people average at least 40 minutes to get to their workplace because of traffic. So overall, North Dakota checked in at number 15 on the wallethub's 2021’s Best States to Live in. Something to be proud of don't you think?
