The Pros ( No Cons ) Of Living In Bismarck Over A Big City

I have had the opportunity to live in both 

Some may argue that one of the biggest perks of living in a big city is that, obviously, "There are more things to do..."   Ok, I get that, but to me, there are so many other reasons WHY living in Bismarck is more appealing. I grew up in San Diego, California, and never thought I would live in another State - so different in a million ways

The cost of living alone should be a HUGE draw to so many people

I feel so bad for some of my friends who live in San Diego - rent is through the roof. Can you imagine spending over $5.00 a gallon every time you head to the gas pump. Here is one of my favorite things about Bismarck - except in the summer, when we are used to seeing road delays due to construction, getting around town is usually no problem, even here in Mandan on the strip.

So all I can say is, whatever suits your style best, looking for a stress-free environment ( somewhat ) - a slower pace of life? Bismarck is perfect for you. The ONLY thing I give SOME of the big cities the edge is - The Weather. We all know how brutal winter can be out here, especially if you live outside the city -  like the rural areas.
