Uncovering The Most Dangerous Job In North Dakota*
Without a doubt, the job I saw these three individuals do today has left me in awe
You could offer me a million dollars and I would politely and adamantly turn you down. Take a second and think to yourself what you WOULDN'T even attempt to do for a living. Let me introduce you to Jordan, Andrew, and Victor. Skyline Tower Painting.
"Hey fellas, we need our tower painted..."
Today here in Mandan, at our Townsquare Media radio station, our 204-foot tower was painted - orange and white. This company based out of Nebraska, tours around the country scaling heights that would take your breath away. Here is an example of part of what they do:
This was in Billings, 520 ft. Enjoy some pictures of their visit to our backyard. In one day, they rigged, rinsed, painted, and then de-rigged - about an 8-hour day ( the same amount of time you spent at your desk no doubt )
Like I said before, this was ONLY 204 feet...
Jordan told me they have climbed towers over 3 times as high. Here is what I observed in the first 5-10 minutes or so of watching them one-by-one methodically climb up, I could hear a distant chatter, some laughing from the guys ( like you would hear at a cubicle next to you in an office ) - I'm telling you the ONLY noise ( besides the constant whimpering ) you would hear from me would be my teeth chattering. By the way, just to throw this out there, go ahead and guess what some of these guys do on their day off...
Unreal...you guys have my deepest respect.
