If you're a veteran or active duty military personnel, the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department is offering you free admission to any North Dakota State Park this Memorial Day!

In honor of the United States Armed Services the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department is admitting military veterans and current personnel free to any North Dakota State Park on Memorial Day in recognition of their contributions to the country.

It is expected to be a busy weekend at most North Dakota State Parks with events and activities planned for the unofficial start of summer.

Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park’s campground is serving refreshments and providing free tours following the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery Memorial Day program which begins at noon. A complete calendar of events for all North Dakota State Parks can be found online at www.parkrec.nd.gov.

Fort Stevenson State Park is holding its annual “Sky Fest Over Fort Stevenson” on May 24-26. This event is a kite flying festival for all ages.
