When Will People Learn That The Bison Play In North Dakota?
Well, some people may never learn, and they find this out the hard way
More likely those ignorant people who still wonder if the Bison ONLY play at Yellowstone National Park find out the painful way, that North Dakota State is also home to the Bison. How many times have we cringed watching yet another video of someone getting too close to a 2,000-pound thundering animal?
Here is another example of someone so oblivious to reality
First of all, there have been numerous cases where a video was captured - dramatic footage of those who were naive enough to walk right up to a Bison - maybe a stupid attempt to actually pet one? Hey listen, if the animal turns out to be a grump and tries to attack, you can always run away, right?
"Bison can be aggressive and are capable of running up to 30 mph, according to the National Park Service...
...Female bison can weigh up to 1,000 lbs, while males can weigh up to 2,000 lbs". Just recently another man "Rolled the dice" if you will. According to foxweather.com "A man was recently caught on camera coming dangerously close to a bison as he taunted the animal in Yellowstone National Park.
The incident occurred on July 24, In the video, the man can be seen walking toward the male bison, or bull, from behind." At one point, the bold man made it known to all the shocked bystanders ( who were a safe distance away ) "It was really close, man," he says. "I think it liked me, actually."
Footnote by the way:
According to usgs.gov "Over the history of the National Park, dating back to 1872, 2 people have been killed as a result of bison encounters and 8 from bear encounters"
No word on where this man went - maybe he's visiting the alligators in Florida.
