It's easy sometimes to forget what you CAN or CANNOT bring on the plane

Speaking from my own past experiences, it's pretty easy sometimes to forget what you CAN or CANNOT bring on the plane these days. Just a couple of months ago, I was pulled aside and had my bag thoroughly checked - the issue was that I FORGOT and packed away a normal-sized tube of toothpaste.

I should have known better, and this is why I'm writing this article, for there are now new items TSA has banned.

There are a few things I had no idea TSA changed

Did you know that TSA recently got rid of the shoes-off rule? That surprised me for a while until I realized that the Transportation Security Administration ( TSA ) is simply trying to help get you to your plane quicker. If you are planning on flying soon, here is something you need to know.

Three new items were recently banned by the TSA

According to usatoday.com, "There are three new items banned by TSA that you may need to know about:

  • Cordless curling irons or flat irons containing gas cartridges
  • Butane-fueled curling irons or flat irons
  • Gas refills (spare cartridges) for curling irons or flat irons

These items are allowed in your carry-on, however, as long as they have safety covers to prevent activation. Hair tools with cords are fine for checked or carry-on bags.

Just making sure you are up-to-speed with all the TSA regulations

Takes a couple of minutes to triple-check your luggage.
