Did you know that the original "Baby Shark" song was a lot darker than today's family fun version?

I know that "Baby Shark" became a huge hit a few years ago, but does anyone else remember this song from their childhood? The story was a little gloomier than the hit song that is familiar with so many today. Seriously, the family of sharks ate a person (like real killers of the deep do)! I remember the song vividly from my elementary year summers at Bible camp in Lansford. Here are a few of the morbid old school lyrics:

"...And a head - doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo. And all was red - doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo. And all was dead - doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo... except for SHARKS!"

It was a jam. And, apparently, also wildly popular at other summer camps across the country in the early 2000s. Learn more about the original camp song and other fun facts about Baby Shark from Mental Floss
