If you were at the game Saturday night in Aberdeen AND you attended the deciding game last Monday here in Bismarck

You no doubt witnessed "A Playoff For the Ages". I know I did, and I was just LISTENING to the play-by-play from Cats announcer Brandon Luisi on Supertalk 1270 am - one of Townsquare Media Bismarck radio stations. This was the first round playoff series between two smoldering hot teams - Our Bismarck Bobcats and the Aberdeen Wings in a NAHL battle

The Bismarck Bobcats appeared to have the early advantage

The first two games of the best 3 out of 5 series were here in our friendly barn - VFW Sports Center. Sometimes what appears so cozy turns sour quickly. The Wings won both games and needed just ONE more heading home. This was no Hollywood script, all the sports cliches you have ever heard were about to be said - The Cats were facing an early elimination, and you can either lie down and silently surrender, OR test the character of an amazing team.

Saturday night, in Aberdeen, the Cats were less than ten minutes away from watching their season end

Having won yet another thriller last Friday, 3-1, Bismarck had another MUST-WIN the following night - with less than 10 minutes to play the Cats found themselves down one goal - their season once again evaporating - a twist of pure drama developed when the game became suddenly tied - overtime came, and a 4-3 win brought OUR team home with a chance play and move on in playoffs  - a Monday Night finale!

Here is what it looks like as the Bismarck Bobcats look forward to the next step in their journey for the Robertson Cup!

Thank you, Bobcats, for such wonderful entertainment and for making all of us proud- like Brandon said, "A Playoffs for the ages"
