What Happens If You Don't Have A REAL ID At The Bismarck Airport?

I remember when the NEW ID idea came about

I'm sure, like most people, my first thought was "What a hassle this is going to be." You know what? It's not at all. I found out later how easy and convenient it really is to get one here in Bismarck. All you need to do is go online and make an appointment with NDDOT, and WHEN you show up on the date you selected, the whole thing literally takes less than 15-20 minutes. So, with that, take a look at how far things have advanced at the airport with TSA

If you ever booked a flight in the past and completely forgot about the whole REAL ID thing, starting next month ( February ), a new convenient way of eliminating any embarrassing moments of not being prepared. According to the Bismarck Airport Facebook page:

If you don’t have REAL ID, TSA’s Confirm ID service can help. Starting February 1, 2026, passengers can use this identity verification tool in place of providing a REAL ID or accepted alternative.

It will cost $45 and is expected to take 10-15 minutes. The process can be completed at the airport or up to 10 days before your domestic flight. Normal security screening still applies.

How awesome is that? No longer do you have to panic if you forgot to get your REAL ID, which became mandatory last year in May!
