This morning in Boston, Massachusetts, the 129th running of THE World Famous Boston Marathon was held

This is your Super Bowl of marathons - for those who have run the 26.2-mile race will never forget it - I have competed three times, and every Patriots Day in April I get the chills with all the amazing memories. Pretty much almost every runner at one point or another dreams of going to Boston.

April Lund from Bismarck toed the line out there this morning

The rule of thumb is, if the weather is a little brisk and chilly for the spectators, then it's ideal running weather for the marathoners - today was in the 50s - a little windy - not too hot at all. April Lund is not just an average weekend jogger: this young lady had something to say with her blazing feet: Like this, for example, last year:

She posted an amazing prediction, goal for herself for today's Boston Marathon. When an athlete like her becomes so in tune with their body, they can usually gauge their fitness and set out for a time within just a couple of minutes ( here or there ) - For example, here is what she said:

"If you are following me in the race bib 175, I will be going for a nice even pace dipping right under 245 is the goal. 6:12-18 is where I'm aiming for, and really trying to control the first half and just cruise and conserve energy. If that goes well & I don't run like the fitness I'm used to then after I crest Heartbreak Hill I should be able to have a little steam and leg left to use the speed I have acquired"

While running in the 2025 BOSTON MARATHON PROFESSIONAL WOMEN’S DIVISION - April finished at 2:43:35...62nd woman overall.

My favorite part of her journey was the respect she paid to greatest marathon in the world:

"Racing Boston this morning is all about enjoying every single step, breathe, scenery, the crowds, and running to the best of my current fitness/leg strength. It's extremely rare to step to the line and not have a lot of pressure, especially at a race of this magnitude"

Conratulations April!
