Ahhh the big question - "What is good for us, and what is bad?"...as far as what we put in our bodies

I'm going to go ahead and go out on a limb here when I say that I'm pretty sure anything "Radioactive is not good for us. A warning has been posted by the FDA ( Food and Drug Administration ) that a nationwide company, Walmart, has sold frozen shrimp, possibly contaminated with radioactive material. I know, quite bizarre.

So ANOTHER big question - "Where does this radioactive stuff come from?"

That would be comforting to know, especially if you had shrimp recently you bought at a Walmart in Bismarck or Mandan. According to nbcnews.com "Health officials said in a news release that it is investigating reports of Cesium-137 (Cs-137) contamination in shipping containers and frozen shrimp products processed by an Indonesian company, PT. Bahari Makmur Sejati of Indonesia, also known as BMS Food"

Ok, one LAST HUGE question - is North Dakota one of the 13 States listed?

"Some of the raw frozen shrimp products processed by an Indonesian company are sold at Walmart stores in 13 states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and West Virginia, according to the FDA"

What are some of the effects of this tainted shrimp?

"...Repeated exposure to low doses of Cs-137 can increase the risk of cancer, "resulting from damage to DNA within living cells of the body," health officials said in their news release" --I think I'll stay away from frozen shrimp for a while.
