I don't usually do a car show recap, but this one I absolutely have to

Last Saturday was such a perfect day - picked up the Walleye vehicle, filled it with a full tank, and off I went to Carson, North Dakota, for the 16th Annual Rods N Rock Car Show. Such a fantastic tradition. Dan Stewart and his entire family take great pride in putting on an amazing car show.

Just an easy-going 60-mile-plus ride out there

This is part of the whole experience, the peaceful drive, and then arriving at this huge field where beautiful, antique cars are everywhere. Refreshments and adult beverages were out there as usual, a disc jockey that makes it out there every year playing some classic oldies. it's a feel-good day. Nobody scored a hole-in-one at the driving range contest ( someone could have won a ton of money ) .

Families, food, and the traditional "Burnout"

The weather couldn't have been more perfect- Low 80s with not much wind. Walking around the field, hearing the music, and watching proud owners standing next to their coveted prize ( their car, of course ) - THEN the traditional burnout - and NO, that's not a worn-out disc jockey.

Check out the video and let me know what you think -in the past, I've been like 3 or 4 feet away from all the smoke and burning rubber, I've learned in the past that it sticks to your clothes, your arms, and face. I'm always honored to be a part of this event, and I recommend you put this on your calendar for next year!
