It's pretty frightening to think about it...

...I mean, do we have gangs in North Dakota - here in Bismarck or Mandan? The average person like myself ( if you want to call me average ) assumes we MAY have them. As old-fashioned the kind of guy I am, simply seeing graffiti on an underpass of a bridge doesn't necessarily mean we have a gang or gangs roaming the streets. I just saw a news story reporting a possible tie into one of the most ruthless violent gangs out there, and it was in one of the smallest states in the United States.

Is it possible for gang members to live and hide in ND?

Just last month, an arrest took place in West Fargo, North Dakota. The nypost.com reported "The Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua has now made its mark in 17 US states after at least one member was arrested in one of the smallest and most remote states in the US. Local cops in West Fargo, North Dakota, arrested Dallas-based suspected gang member Henry Theis, 25, early last month"  So here is the concern, if this person they have in custody IS a member of this gang, are there more among us ( North Dakota )  - hiding and setting their seeds in smaller cities?

According to a leaked Hometown Security memo

Here is a quick look at the established footholds of  Tren de Aragua in the following states:

  • California
  • Colorado
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Illinois
  • Louisiana
  • Nevada
  • New Jersey
  • New York
  • North Carolina
  • Tennessee
  • Texas
  • Wisconsin
  • Virginia
  • Montana
  • Wyoming....
  • AND Now North Dakota
