I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that this is a very question to answer especially now that warmer weather has arrived

Yep, you get this asked to you in the middle of winter when a blizzard has left you barricaded at home, your mind forgets all the awesome things Bismarck/Mandan has to offer. I asked several people around work this afternoon "what are some of your favorite things to do in Bismarck/Mandan?" The most common answer came rather quickly - the McDowell Dam - over on 1951 93rd St NE here in town. How great is that? A perfect place to "escape reality" without traveling a long way. Perfect place for the whole family to go swimming and relax:

Get out and play 18 holes of golf

I actually had a chance to be a part of this fun activity last Saturday when I played Riverwood Golf Course for the very first time - a picture-perfect scenic adventure. Helps clear your mind, and makes you feel like you're out in the wilderness mingling with some deer and turkeys ( animals, not people ) :
