No, you didn't see this on the big screen ( Forrest Gump ) - but you DID see it here in Bismarck and Mandan

His name is Noah Coughlan, and his goal is simple, yet exhausting at the same time. He wants to become only the 3rd person to ever cross all 50 States on foot - as in one foot in front of the other. He is shooting to finish in July, a perfect way to help us all celebrate 250 years!

When did Noah start his adventure?

This isn't his first attempt at running across the United States: According to wwmt.com  "Coughlan has made four previous attempts to run across the country in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2023, crossing 36 states. "Those were for advocacy for millions of people with rare diseases," Coughlan said. "And then, about two years ago, I came back to the road and did a run for veterans. I wanted to do something special for the World War II veterans. Then when all that was said and done, I wanted to do one last one, but this one's different, this one is for the American people."

Just today, here in Bismarck and Mandan, we had a "Coughlan" sighting!

"Sgt. Hauck, Sgt. Breid, and Officer Black had the honor of escorting Noah Coughlan through Mandan as part of his 2026 Run for America.

Best of luck to Noah as he continues his journey toward becoming only the third person to run across all 50 states!"
Thank you, Noah, for RUNNING by!
