"Crime does not pay" - we have all heard that phrase before

Yes, you may get away with it for a while, but almost always in the end you'll find yourself behind bars. All crimes have their severity to them, some people may think "Ahh, no big deal to shoplift here or there, the store makes a ton of money, they won't miss MY thievery" - But that's not true, some businesses have taken a major dent in theft losses. So, WHY do people commit a crime? Why would you take a risk of doing something illegal and end up behind bars?

Most of us wonder that, but there are many who do things for the RISK

Some do it for the THRILL of it - some enjoy the adrenaline rush I guess you would day - I wouldn't know, ALTHOUGH I did steal a comic book when I was 12, and my dad made me go back to the store and apologize. I can understand the urgency of those who are on drugs and steal to make money - but I can't sympathize one inch for someone who steals a support animal from a person whose life depends on it.

A hefty sentence to a Bismarck man with greedy hands

According to the bismarcktribune.com "A Bismarck man who admitted stealing a woman's PTSD support dog and vehicle was sentenced to seven years in prison on Tuesday - more than three times the punishment requested by attorneys." Liberty Briley will do the time and probably quite often wonder if it was worth it. I'm guessing a cruel joke would be to serve him dog food for a night or so.
