Clever Creative Ways To Beat The Construction In Mandan
With help from my friend and co-worker, here is how to deal with construction
Yes, HOW to cope with the construction we have right here on the strip in Mandan. All of this began shortly after April 1st - we were all politely alerted ahead of time on what the city of Mandan was preparing to do, and possibly how long it would take. With 5 months now that's passed, we are starting to notice some more intense work being done.
Huge, gigantic cranes churning large chunks of dirt and cement all over the place - has caused some tricky entry ways into local businesses - like ours for instance - this is why Andi Ahne from Hot 975 is helping me point out some key strategic landmarks, if you will.
So here we see the entrance to our Townsquare Media stations
4303 Memorial Highway - home to US 1033, Cool 98.7, Hot 975, 96.5 The Walleye, and SuperTalk 1270. Andi is pointing to the obvious entrance, surrounded on both sides with orange cones and big gaping holes on either side as well. Here is the issue, our neighbor, Dakota Bank and Trust, their one entrance is closed off to the main artery we all know as Memorial Highway.
This is where the cleverness and creativity kick in
That goofy looking right there is me -
I am standing on our property, pointing to the NOW often used shortcut - the grassy knoll that has tire tracks that lead to the bank. Right across the street from Dakota is a Kroll's restaurant, which runs along the - you got it - Memorial Highway - hungry people have now figured out a creative way to cut across the grass ( still our property ) and find their way to lunch.
So listen, I guess we will see you soon, right?
