How Many Cones Are In This Mandan "Cone Zone"?

This isn't a trick question. Take a long look at the picture on the cover of this article

A simple question: how many cones do you see? I'll give you a tiny hint: there are at least 20 of them ( I'll give you the answer at the end of this article ) in this relatively small area. The picture was taken out in our Townsquare Media parking lot on the strip here in Mandan - across the street is Cennex. The big question lately is WILL construction be at least halfway done when Mother Nature steps in and puts a halt to any forward progress?

Last week, we had to get used to driving past the Mandan exit

Many of us completely forgot until the day after time had changed, and Monday morning rolled around and we came across this road closure, causing us to drive ahead and get off on McKenzie Drive.

True to what they told us, the deter was for only one week. We are creatures of habit, and many of us STILL haven't gotten used to all the construction that has taken over Memorial Highway. Checking in with cityofmandan.com "NDDOT and Reede Construction, in collaboration with the City of Mandan are working to prepare the construction area for the changing season. Construction will continue as long as weather allows. While work will pause on this two-year project until conditions allow construction to resume in the spring, our shared priority is to keep the area safe, accessible, and functional for the traveling public and nearby businesses"

Let's just say Mother Nature is coming. WHEN and how much wrath will she bring? That is always a mystery. So, getting back to the cover picture, how many cones did you see? I counted over 30! When the snow comes, they will all disappear.
