Metallica’s World Wired Tour is Coming to North Dakota
It's been 30 years since Metallica last came to ND and now they're back! Metallica Playing Grand Forks on September 8th.
Metallica has always been one of those mixed bag bands . Always selling out their shows, and selling millions of albums (125 million to date) but in the past has experimented with their sound which had annoyed die hard fans for a time.
The experimenting paid off though with their fan base currently in non stop growth mode, and the band finally has the freedom to do what they want at their concerts without fear of backlash.
The last time I saw these guys was in Met life stadium in NJ about a year ago and the show was really good. A great deal of their material came from early albums like "Kill em all", "Justice for All","The Black album", "Master of Puppets" and "Ride the Lightning" while sprinkling only the big hits from the "Load" "Reload" and "Death Magnetic" albums. They even worked in some elements from their symphonic S&M album to their show.
One other aspect of this show which is pretty unique is that according to Rolling Stone Magazine, you can purchase a ticket that gives you floor access to any show on the tour... WHAT??? All you do is call the venue 48 hours in advance and you're in. Pretty awesome.
Man, it's going to be a party up in Grand Forks. Here's more info on the tour from Rollingstone.
