For the first time in franchise history, the Minnesota Timberwolves had the first pick in the NBA Draft and they used it to take Kentucky freshman Karl-Anthony Towns.

Towns joins former number one draft picks Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett in Minnesota, where the team has missed the playoffs the past eleven seasons.

In his only season at Kentucky, Towns averaged 10.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, though he only averaged 21 minutes per game, due to Kentucky's stacked roster.

Towns won't be the only Kentucky Wildcat selected in the 2015 NBA Draft. Seven players from the school declared for the draft and all are expected to hear their name called during Thursday night's draft (June 25).
