Opening Day To File Your ND Taxes -Another Gift From The IRS?
Alright get ready, it's time to sit down with your W-2 and a cup of coffee
Today is the opening day if you will, that our friends from the IRS ( ALWAYS refer to them as your friends :) ) are accepting our tax returns. "Never fear the IRS" is my motto.
You worked hard all last year, and hopefully, you will be rewarded with a nice return. I know I speak of great optimism, but I also know of several people who will until the very
last minute to file, for they know they will probably owe money. There is good news once again for North Dakotans.
“North Dakota taxpayers will again experience lower tax rates..."
That piqued my attention right away. I saw this just the other day -according to tax.nd.gov Tax Commissioner Brian Kroshus had this to say “North Dakota taxpayers
will again experience lower tax rates following passage of a record-setting relief package during the 2023 Legislative Session,”
Any advantage we ( North Dakotans ) can have filing our taxes is a good thing
In the past, I always filed with a professional. I felt uneasy doing them myself, fearful of making a huge mistake that would end in the result of an audit - a friendly letter in the
mail down the road from the IRS informing me of my mistake, and that I owed money. A friend of mine told me about Cash App Taxes - They methodically take you step-by-step into
filing - and they do it for free. Of course, there are some restrictions to that, depending on your income. I recommend them 100%. So good luck, and file TODAY!
